Olidia Care specializes in providing home care to medically complex infants and children who would otherwise spend much of their lives in the hospital. We provide skilled nursing services by an integrated team of caring and competent Registered Nurses (RN’s), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN’s), and case coordinators.

Our staff of highly trained pediatric and neonatal care understands the unique needs of children. We offer comprehensive pediatric home health care in your home up to 24 hours per day. We maintain a philosophy that children are not just little adults. They require a special level of attention and care.

SCHOOL NURSING

TAKING YOUR KID TO SCHOOL

At Olidia Care, we work with schools and school systems to meet their needs and set up a nursing program, manage a program, or simply provide nursing to a single school or even work with a single child.

Transportation Services Provided:

  • Accompanying the child on the bus or van to and from school
  • Accompanying the child on class trips

Olidia Care pediatric Nurses and Home Health Aides can provide one-on-one care to your child at school. We can help your child with their medical and personal care needs at school while keeping them safe and comfortable as they focus on their educational goals.

  • Providing one-on-support during class trips
  • Providing one-on-one complex nursing throughout the school day

Respiratory Care Services Provided:

  • Tracheostomy and ventilator care

School Activities Provided:

  • Assisting a child with classroom activities and tasks
  • Working with the school team to support the child’s IEP
  • Substituting for the school nurse

Medication management Services Provided:

  • Medications and treatment administration

Personal Care Assistance Services provided:

  • Assisting with personal care tasks including toileting and feeding

RESIDENTIAL AND RESPITE CARE

Olidia Respite Care is provided as a temporary relief to the family caregiver of a technology dependent client. Respite care strengthens family systems while protecting the health and well-being of both caregivers and care recipients As we focus on the care of your child, we believe that as a parent caregiver, your own health and wellness is equally important. While you take a break, get out of your home, s relax or recharge we can provide a trusted and dependable service to your child.

Program Requirements

Respite care is only provided for a primary caregiver of the client. The client must be enrolled in the Community Alternative Care (CAC) Waiver program with the Minnesota Department of Human Services.

Program Duration

Olidia Respite care is limited to 30 consecutive days per respite stay.

Service Location

We provide in-home respite care and the family home is the primary place of care. To qualify for respite care in one of Olidia Vent Homes, the client must reside in the facility for the full 30 days.

Olidia Residential Transitional Care is designed for technology dependent patients who completed their acute or rehabilitation program and are brought to or kept in a hospital for non-medical reasons.
They may be out-of-State clients or from communities where it is challenging to put together a complex nursing care infrastructure.
They can be in the Transitional Care Program for the time necessary to put together a care team of physicians, therapists, DME providers and nurses for a safe return of the client in her/his community.
These clients may also have housing challenges when their private home is not ready or available for nursing care.
They can be in the program for the time necessary to upgrade their house, find a new home or apply for housing benefits. Sometimes the client home does not provide a safe and secure environment of care for both the client and the care team. The client can be in the Transitional program while safety issues are addressed.
Program Duration
The Program runs from 1 to 4 months per transitional stay.
Long Term Complex Care is provided to technology dependent adult clients who don’t have the housing or social infrastructure to safely receive complex nursing care in their private homes.It is also designed for clients who prefer to live in an environment where they can socialize with other residents.
As an alternative to a nursing home stay, Residential Long Term Clients live in the community while receiving one-on-one care.
Weaning Program
Most Long Term Residential Clients have chronic respiratory insufficiency or failure and require specialized medical equipment to support their lives.
We work with the client pulmonologist, Respiratory therapists and our team of highly skilled vent nurses to design a realistic weaning program.
